Gigapower faces $200 Million lawsuit from Tilson over breach of fiber build deal
Tilson Sues AT&T–Backed Gigapower for $200M Over Fiber Project Dispute
Tilson Technology Management has filed a $200 million lawsuit against Gigapower, the fiber joint venture backed by AT&T and BlackRock, alleging breach of contract tied to broadband builds in Nevada and Arizona.
Tilson claims Gigapower withheld payments, creating over $100 million in negative cash flow, then abruptly terminated the contract to force more favorable terms. The company has since filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, citing the need to recover funds and protect vendors.
Tilson says it met all obligations but was left with unpaid invoices, harming its operations, workers, and subcontractors. The firm is now selling assets to stay afloat.
Gigapower, launched in 2022 with $1.5B in funding, was designed to deploy open-access fiber networks beyond AT&T’s footprint.
thay has not responded to the allegations.
